801. Guidance

1. Definition

(1) For the stages of transportation, movement of jacket from cargo barge, installation and welding on platform installation, API RP 2A Sec 5 may be applied for reference at those stages. For the review, those procedures are to be submitted to this Society.

(2) During the installation work, supervision is to be carried out for confirmation of progressing

whether it is carried out in accordance with the procedure. And the surveyor is to be attended for this supervision.

802. Submission of Calculation

1. Structures

Structural calculation for stress of installation described in API RP 2A 2.4 is to be submitted for the confirmation that the stress in platform construction is not affect to the foundation and effectiveness.

To verify that stresses of platform structural members do not affect the strength of the foundation of structure and overall platform structure, the structural calculation report contained the installation force in accordance with the API RP 2A 2.4 is to be submitted.

2. Stability

When the platform structural members unloaded from the barge, compartment flooding is con- trolled at floating condition or settled down at installation site with similar methods, necessary sta- bility is to be calculated. And to verify the appropriate stability for considerate work, hydrostatic stability analytic reports of the platform are to be submitted.
